Michael F. Ram has been a business litigator since 1982 and has experience at both the trial and appellate court levels. For the majority of his career, he has emphasized representation of plaintiffs in consumer class actions. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and various state and lower federal courts.

Michael graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1982. He began as a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco, specializing in complex business litigation. In 1987 Michael was a co-recipient of the Trial Lawyer of the Year Award given by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice for a class action on behalf of veterans exposed to radiation.

Before co-founding R&O, Michael was a partner with Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann and Bernstein, where he participated in representing plaintiffs in several major class actions.

At Ram & Olson, Michael continues to focus on consumer class actions. He is co-lead counsel for plaintiffs in a number of national and statewide consumer class actions.

Mike co-authored "New Class Certification Developments in Non-Personal Injury Product Defects/Consumer Protection Cases: Nationwide vs. Statewide Classes and the Role of Choice of Law" with Elizabeth J. Cabraser of Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein for the ABA's Ninth Annual National Institute on Class Actions, held in San Francisco on October 7, 2005.
